Prevention and management of disabilities through
- Consultation and treatment of persons with special physical needs requiring physiotherapy.
- Counselling families and persons living with disabilities.
- Provision of educative and medical services for the prevention of physical deficiencies and deformities both in and out of the centre.
- Organize, carry out follow up and follow through activities of physically handicapped persons who have been rehabilitated.
- Promote, explain, defend, protect and further the rights of the physically handicapped persons. Through national campaigns we create awareness of our services within and without our region.
Prevention and management of disabilities through
- Utilize and fully exploit services, grants, facilities, benefits and other avenues which are existing for the prevention and treatment of physical deformities.
- Opening up new avenues for disabled people by making it possible for some to receive vocational training; for instance, embroidery, lead making, shoe making, agriculture, livestock and animal husbandry.
- Upgrading our staff in treatment methods through in-service training, internal and external workshops and seminars.
- Seek cooperation from both government and private agencies in activities for the prevention and treatment of physical deficiencies.
